Mac - First Class

Mac - First Class Video Clips. Duration : 0.67 Mins.

In this video I compare the booting performance of some of my macs: from left to right: 1. 2008 MacBook Aluminum Unibody 13" (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz, 4GB Ram, 256GB Apple stock SSD); 2. 2008 MacBook Pro Pre-Unibody 15" (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6GHz, 6GB Ram, 120GB OCZ Agility 2 120GB SSD); 3. 2011 MacBook Pro Unibody 15" (Intel Sandy Bridge Core i7 2.2GHz, 8GB Ram, 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SSD); 4. 2009 MacBook Pro Unibody 17" (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8GHz, 8GB Ram, 120GB OCZ Vertex 2 120GB SSD). As expected, 2011 MacBook Pro with Vertex 3 finished first as its SATA link speed is 6GB/s. However, it is surprising that the 2008 highest spec. pre-unibody finished second although the link speed of its SATA is 1.5GB/s, compared with 3GB/s from 13" and 17".
